This issue is discussed not only by watch manufacturers themselves, but also by pilots. However, most of them agree on the basic parameters that characterize aviation watches (pilot watches): high precision, durability in difficult conditions and, of course, good readability.
Interview with the founder of Biatec Watches
The idea of creating my own brand had been in my mind for a long time, but it was only in 2016 that I decided and registered the trademark called Biatec. The name Biatec resonates in the ears of Slovaks basically since their childhood. Biatec were old Celtic coins, probably minted on the territory of today's Bratislava (capital city of Slovakia), which we were taught about in elementary school. And since we would like to leave a Slovak imprint in our watches, we decided to name our brand Biatec.
Krivan - most distinctive Slovak mountain
Krivan, one of our highest but also the most distinctive mountains and symbols of Slovakia. Inspiration, which was a pretext for the creation of various works by many artists. An inspiration that didn't leave us in Biatec cold either. And that's why we decided to release an exceptional limited edition Biatec Majestic Dark Sky - Krivan edition. The top of Krivan is shown on the dial made of aventurine, while the aventurine background is supposed to resemble the night sky dotted with twinkling stars.
Biatec made a watch for Pope Francis!
Well now, perhaps thanks to a "lucky coincidence" (although there are no lucky coincidences in this world), we managed to deliver one of our models directly to the Holy Father, Francis! We were able to do this mainly thanks to our good friend as well as the GLOBSEC organization, which, through its president, Mr. Róbert Vass, directly handed over the watch to the Holy Father.
