Every new Biatec watch purchased directly from Biatec Watches or from an Authorized Biatec Dealer is automatically covered by our 5-Year International Warranty.
No registration is required and no additional fee applies.
The 5-Year Biatec International Warranty is a commercial guarantee of durability covering the complete watch as originally sold, including the movement, case, crystal, crown, pushers, dial, hands, buckle or clasp, bracelet and strap, subject to the terms and exclusions stated below.
What the 5-Year Warranty Covers
For five years from the date of delivery to the first retail purchaser, Biatec Watches guarantees that the watch will maintain its required functions and performance under normal use and reasonable maintenance.
The warranty covers defects in materials, manufacture and workmanship that occur during normal use. If, during this period, the watch develops a defect covered by this warranty, Biatec Watches will repair the watch or, where appropriate, replace the defective watch or relevant component free of charge in accordance with the applicable warranty conditions.
What the Warranty Does Not Cover
The warranty does not cover deterioration or damage resulting from normal wear and tear, normal ageing, accidental damage, improper use or external causes. In particular, the warranty does not cover:
Normal wear and tear is not considered a defect in durability.
For example, normal ageing, discoloration or wear of a leather strap after prolonged use does not constitute a warranty defect. However, a failure caused by a defect in material, manufacture or workmanship may be covered by the warranty.
Water Resistance
Water resistance is not a permanent characteristic and may decrease over time due to the natural ageing of seals, impacts, temperature changes or other factors. Biatec Watches recommends periodic water-resistance testing, particularly before the watch is regularly exposed to water. Warranty coverage for water ingress applies where the watch has been used in accordance with its stated water-resistance rating and the manufacturer's instructions and where the damage was not caused by improper use, external damage or neglected reasonable maintenance.
Separately Purchased Accessories
The 5-Year Biatec International Warranty applies to the complete watch as originally sold, including the strap or bracelet, buckle or clasp supplied with the watch at the time of its original purchase. Straps, bracelets, buckles, clasps and other accessories purchased separately are not covered by the 5-Year Biatec International Warranty applicable to the watch. Separately purchased accessories remain covered by all statutory consumer rights applicable to their purchase.
How to Make a Warranty Claim
To make a warranty claim, please contact Biatec Watches or an Authorized Biatec Dealer. You may be asked to provide reasonable proof of the date and place of purchase. Registration of the watch is not required to obtain or maintain the 5-Year Biatec International Warranty. After inspection, Biatec Watches will determine the cause of the reported defect and whether it is covered by this commercial warranty. Where the defect is covered by the warranty, the necessary repair or replacement will be performed free of charge in accordance with the applicable warranty conditions.
Warranty Period
The warranty period is five years from the date the watch is delivered to the first retail purchaser. The warranty applies to new Biatec watches purchased directly from Biatec Watches or from an Authorized Biatec Dealer. The warranty follows the watch during the warranty period and is not conditional upon registration by the original or subsequent owner. Reasonable proof of the original purchase date may be required.
Digital Product Passport
Selected Biatec watches include a Digital Product Passport containing information about the individual watch, its authenticity, warranty status and service history. The Digital Product Passport is an additional service and is not a condition for obtaining or maintaining the 5-Year Biatec International Warranty.
Your Statutory Consumer Rights
The 5-Year Biatec International Warranty is a voluntary commercial guarantee provided in addition to your statutory consumer rights. Consumers are entitled by law to remedies from the seller, free of charge, in the event that goods do not conform to the sales contract. These statutory rights are not limited or otherwise affected by the 5-Year Biatec International Warranty. The applicable statutory consumer rights may vary depending on the country in which the watch was purchased.
