Our brand name has been inspired by an ancient coin (Biatec or Biatex – please see page “about us”) which has been restyled and modernized. The reverse side of the coin with a “Biatec horse” motif is now a feature of each watch in our Majestic collection. Caseback has been decorated with a solid 14 ct GOLD COIN placed under the sapphire crystal.
The coin is minted in one of the oldest mints in Europe (the mint of Mincovňa Kremnica which is more than 700 years old) and we provide the coin as a standard decoration in yellow or silver gold, according to your requirement.
Would you like to have your watch more personal?
We are happy to create any custom made coin for you (with your own motif of wedding, graduation, anniversary, etc.). If you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact us.
As the original Biatec coins used to be minted in the area of today’s Bratislava, we decided to be inspired by the coins itself and our national heritage. Bratislava castle, elegant and majestic, one of the most important symbols of inherited architecture and Slovakia. In the times, when it was common to ride the horses (Biatec motif of a horse rider) and symbol of monarchs and power was gold (14 ct gold coin), eyes of villeins were fixed on a majestic symbol of power – Bratislava castle with four towers (Majestic stud clasp remindes us of one of the towers of Bratislava castle).
From Wikipedia: “Bratislava Castle is the main castle of Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. The massive rectangular building with four corner towers stands on an isolated rocky hill of the Little Carpathians directly above the Danube river in the middle of Bratislava. Because of its size and location, it has been a dominant feature of the city for centuries. The location provides excellent views of Bratislava, Austria and, in clear weather, parts of Hungary. Many legends are connected with the history of the castle, which dates back from prehistory to modern times”.
